 Dov Hirst has been appointed as Easts Celts Seniors Captain for 2005 |
I'm absolutely thrilled to be asked to captain the Easts Celts senior side for 2005.
In a season of re-building, it will be a big challenge to lead our inexperienced side. With many old players gone and so many new faces at the club, the new-look side will have its work cut out if it's to be nearly as successful as last years team.
During my time at Easts, the club has had mixed results. We've won our fair share of wooden spoons and we've also snared a bit of silverware. We all know the successful years don't just happen by accident. On-field success relates directly to the amount of effort put in by the players on the training pitch, and behind the scenes by the committee, coaches and managers.
It is because of this I am confident 2005 will be a great year for the mighty Celts!!!!!
