WOMEN
Easts Celts 3-5 (14) d John Mitchels 2-5 (11)
Easts Celts Women won the 2011 Carpenter Cup with a three point win over John Mitchels in the Final held on Friday 10th June. As well as being the inaugural Carpenter Cup champions, they are also the first Easts Womens team to win a trophy in club history!
MEN - RESERVES
Easts Celts 3-12 (21) d John Mitchels 2-7 (13)
Easts Celts defeated John Mitchels by eight points to also win the 2011 Carpenter Cup in Reserve Grade.
The victory breaks a seven year drought since the Celts Reserves last piece of silverware (the 2004 Reserves Championship).

As many of you aware, there has been major flooding over south east Queensland, and Gaelic Park Willawong has also been impacted.
Friday 14th January was the first chance to inspect the damage with flood water moving away and allowing access.
It has been reported that the water reached around two meters leaving only the ceiling undamaged.
Seamus Sullivan would like to thank all the players and supporters for their help with the clean up on Saturday, it was a great success.

Happy New Year!
Easts Celts GFC AGM will be held on Wednesday 19th January, 7pm at The Irish Australian Support Assoc Centre - 5 Abingdon St, Woolloongabba Qld 4102.
All please attend as we need to recruit new committee members and players for next year and vote accordingly.
If you have any keen players/club members to join next year please bring them along.
