Just a note to wish our coach Chris Guice a speedy recovery from the terrible
knee injury he sustained in last Sundays game against Mitchell's. Chris, on
behalf of the whole extended Easts club, we wish you well. Our thoughts are
with you, Annette and your family at this time. If there is anything at all
that we could do for you, there is 3 squads of players and additional support
members at your beck and call.

Brisbane Shield Finals
SENIORS
Easts 1-15 (18) d Shamrocks 1-5 (8)
Easts: Leigh Scott 0-6, Bill Clohessy 1-0, Matt O'Neill 0-3, Conan Dyar 0-2, Nathan Ram 0-2, Ronan Harper 0-1, Dov Hirst 0-1
Easts Seniors avenged last years 2 point loss to Shamrocks with a 10 point victory in the 2004 Brisbane Shield Final.
The win breaks a 9 year drought since the Celts Seniors last won the Brisbane Shield in 1995, and is their first piece of silverware since the 1999 Qld Championship. Match Report
RESERVES
Souths 8-9 (33) d Easts 0-7 (7)
Easts: John Kelly 0-2, Kev Talbot 0-2, Diarmuid Bowland 0-1, Brett Gill 0-1, Matt Huggett 0-1
In a bittersweet night for the Celts, the Reserves were denied a repeat of their 2003 Brisbane Shield win, falling to Souths in the 2004 final. Easts trailed by a couple of goals at halftime, before Souths went on a goal scoring spree to put the outcome beyond doubt early in the second half. Credit to the Easts men for competing to the end and running out the match with a few late scores.

Easts Celts are proud to announce Dicey Reilly's as club sponsors for 2004
|
|
A big night was had by all and Easts were out in team colours on St Patricks
Day at Dicey Reilly's Garden City to promote our club for possible
sponsorship.
We are very proud to announce that Dicey Reilly's have agreed to become a
sponsor for Easts Celts and proceeds this year will go towards the Seniors
Mens jerseys. Ronan and myself have been busy organising the jerseys and we
hope to have the new jerseys soon.
In appreciation of the well needed sponsorship we will be organising some
events at Dicey Reilly's throughout the season and every few weeks we'll be
meeting for a Sunday session after footy.
There will be more news to come on our sponsorship deal with Diceys
including the jersey presentation, until then feel free to pop into Dicey
Reilly's for a meal or pint at any time to show your appreciation.
Our thanks goes out to John Dodrill and the team at Reilly's for their
support.
