Michael Laffey was killed in a workplace accident on Monday, 17th November.
Our deepest sympathies go out to the entire Laffey family at this time, and may Michael rest in peace.
Michael's parents Mary and PJ Laffey are long time supporters of both the Queensland Gaelic Football Association and the Easts Celts Gaelic Football Club.
For anyone wishing to attend, the funeral will be held at 11am this Saturday, 22nd November at St Peter's & Paul's Catholic Church, Main Ave, Bulimba.

The Queensland Men and Women's teams reached the semi-finals of the 2008 Australasian Gaelic Games, held in Adelaide in October.

A big turnout of players and supporters attended the 2008 Easts Celts Awards Night held at the Wynnum Vikings Australian Football Club.
In the Mens Awards, Alan Reynolds won the Easts Best & Fairest to add to his recent QGFA B&F, Runner-up B&F was Dave Barry, and Brian Harney won Mens Reserves Best & Fairest.
In the Womens Awards, Amanda Layther won both Best & Fairest and Best New Player, and Runner-up B&F was Natalie Connor.
For the first time in club history a family was named as the Easts Members of Year, with Dov, Vicki, Kyle & Rose Hirst sharing the prestigious Seamus Sullivan Perpetual Trophy.

On Saturday 5th July 2008, Greg Bryant and Caroline McDonald were married at Maleny.
Greg has been a player for Easts since 1999, and met Caroline when she joined the Celts in 2004.
Caroline and Greg would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and the Easts Celts Gaelic Football Club for bringing them together.

Gerry Heanue, aged in his 50's and originally from Galway, died suddenly on Monday June 30, in Brisbane.
Gerry played with Easts in the 1980's, and had a huge influence on all the Iona Boys that were the backbone of Easts first 10 years as a
Club. Gerry was selected in the Easts Celts 25th Anniversary Team in 2007.
The Requiem Mass for Gerry Heanue is being celebrated by Father Tim O'Dwyer on Tuesday 8 July 2008 at 10.00am. The mass is at St Patrick's Catholic Church 70 Tobruk Street, Beenleigh.
